A small disclaimer before we begin; as well as other chronic illnesses, I have carpal tunnel, and while it mostly managed these days with rest and splinting, it can still flare up and this may be reflected in the amount of time your commission takes me. While this should be unlikely with my management plan, I will communicate with you if it does. Please be patient with me!
Payments are in NZD, and will be handled through PayPal unless otherwise negotiated.
Please note; all commissions will require a 50% deposit of your estimated quote before work can begin, and the remainder on completion before your finished commission will be sent to you. Thank you for your understanding of the protection of my work and my time. (:
Standard Illustration Commission
For standard illustration work, my hourly rate is $25. I can provide a rough quote beforehand if needed on how long I think something may take me and therefore how much it may cost! Please note factors that will take longer such as whether the work is digital or traditional, full colour, includes background, or more than one subject, for some examples, and be reflected in the cost of your commission as a result.
Cartoon Family Portrait Commission
I’ve done a few of these for family and friends and had some interest in them from others so I thought I’d give a special offer on this special kind of commission;
$150 fixed price for up to 5 family members and a pet, after that add +$15 per person and $5 per pet.
I put a lot of love into these as a family portrait should have so between that and the fact that these usually take me a minimum of 6-8 hours this is a special discounted price that may not be around forever.
Side note that as much detail and as many reference images as you can provide on yourselves and your pet/s will help to provide the most satisfying and accurate portrayal in your finished result.
Painting Commission
For paintings I am able to paint more “realistically” like the painting on the left, or more cartoony like the painting on the right; feel free to specify what kind of style you have in mind when placing your commission. My paintings will be priced a little differently because as well as time they need to take into account size, the cost of materials, and P&P when mailed to you upon completion. All paintings will be painted with acrylic but what they are painted on is up to you (and will also be included in pricing). Once we have ascertained what you are wanting I will provide you with an estimate on how much the painting will cost. For some idea, for a small (around A5 size) painting on paper, the ballpark would likely be $50-80, medium (around A4 size) $100-150, and large (A3 or larger) would be likely $150-200+.
Sculpting Commission
Same as with painting commissions, these commissions are special as they need to take cost of materials into account - namely clay. All sculpts will be made with polymer clay and painted with acrylic paint before being finished with varnish and mailed home to you (so P&P cost will also be a factor).
For a rough idea of pricing, Super Sculpey clay is usually around $50 for 450g. This means for a small sculpt (say <50g of clay) the price would likely be around $50-100, medium sculpt (<100g) around $100-150 and a larger sculpt (100g+) would be $150+.
